Re: honey

Leatherwood honey is very strong with a very distinct flavour.   If you like something a little milder the Mixed Blossom is very nice.

Manuka honey is made in a medicinal form and is great for healing ulcers or other wounds.

Re: honey

Australian produced Manuka honey? Outrageous ๐Ÿ™‚

Supermarkets here have NZ Manuka honey.. About $10 for a small jar.

As Lyndal said it does have very good healing properties for wounds.

As someone who has lived in NZ I have never tried Manuka honey.. Parents used to buy local clover honey from my Uncle. an apiarist.

Re: honey

I love leatherwood honey - finished my last jar a while back so will have to see if I can get some more.

OH doesn't like the strong taste so it is all for me Smiley Happy

We use Manuka honey for infections, colds, sore throats etc - try to get some with 8+ active or greater for best benefits.

At first glance I thought in your thread title you were calling someone "honey", lol.

That aside, I rarely have honey, except when I make honey-glazed carrots for  OH, he loves them.

I'm sure Leatherwood honey is excellent though.
