:_| Washing machine, X-(

I made a post about this ages ago,:|

I was hand washing for my family of six as my machine died,:|

As i couldn't make my mind up on what i should buy i kept at hand washing, Until 4 weeks ago and bought a 5.5kg fisher and paykel top loader. Thinking it was so nice to finally have a machineB-)

I hate this machine, Its so rough on the fabrics it has torn a few items of clothing because it causes them to get stuck under the agitator. X-(

So i call the fisher and paykel help line and had a repairman out under warranty to assess the machine.

He looked at it and said it was all fine and to wash all clothes in a mesh bag.(never ever heard of machine) requiring this either.?:|

But still gets the mesh bag caught and tore it open during the cycle and now have a item stuck under the agitator once again and won't budge X-(. Grrr I have had enough of this rubbish. Then on top of this it leaves excessive lint on the clothes (yes i separate very carefully) I use half the liqard omo detergent and clothes still don't seem very well rinsed either:_|. I use the right cycle for what fabrics im washing etc, Im not stupid:^O

Tomorrow im taking the machine back to the good guys and making a stand on a full refund or replacement to another brand and if i have to make a song and dance till they help me out so bloody be it as they haven't been at all helpful either. .:_|:O:|X-(;\

So if any of you can tell me of your experiences with a excellant washing machine im all ears, 🙂

Thank you for your understanding but i needed to vent about this disgraceful appliance.

Goota be honest here and tell ya all that I can't remember what brand my washing machine is unless I go look at it right now, or even how much it's supposed to take max at any time, or come to that I don't know what cycle I'm supposed to use for what wash, but I do know it has a door in the front and I just stuff everything in it at once, stuff some liquid stuff into it, and it works out just fine.

If my late wife was looking over my shoulder when I'm doing the washing I'd most likely be in for a real ear bashing about something or other, but I just don't know what I'm supposed to be seperating from what cause nothing tells me on labels that I understand :_|

Oh, and does anyone here know what you use an iron for 😉

Thank God for robotic vacum cleaners though. Trouble with them is that I'm always forgetting to empty the bugger though 😞

In case you haven't worked it out for yourselves ... housework isn't my strong suit, but I have a lady come in twice a week to get me out of most of it, so I consider myself real lucky lol.

I can cook great though 😄 Just hate doing the stuff I can't do in the bloody dishwasher though X-( Maybe I should get myself a big dog to lick the dishes clean for me so i can just use em straight away again 😛 OK, maybe not such a bright idea :^O

I wash all our sheets weekly and take the larger items like blankets, quilts and quilt covers, bedspreads, or anything that won't fit to the dry cleaner on a monthly basis. i can fit 2 queen sheets and 2 pillow cases in a load. I can also fit 4 single sheets and 4 pillow cass in a load comfortably with room for a few smaller items.

I really don't know why people need to have such large machines as they use excessive amounts of water and electricity.

I wash during the evenings while the children are studying (was hard making time for hand washing when the machine broke) and dinner is being cooked by my husband.

The older children also are currently learning how to cook and will be cooking a meal once a week once they have gained more knowledge.

We also have a wife and husband team that are cleaners from our church that come and clean (paid) twice a week. They also do laundry while they are here, The children also do regular chores before school in the morning (out of bed at 530am They go to bed at 8pm on school nights and 830pm on the weekend and are allowed a sleep in till 730

which they go by a roster, Everyone has a part to play in my family we are not slaves to our children.

So many children are growing up with no life skills because the parents did everything for them which of course they didn't learn.

I have a large front loader and it saves on electricity and water, front loaders use alot less water than top loaders.

mmm interesting, so your kids  get home from school, lets say 4pm  from the hours between 4 and 8pm they have 3 hours of study ect.  so that makes it 7pm  in that last hour they have tea watch the news for 1 hour , discuss the news , find info  as well re- questions they may have, plus have a shower.

totally amazing , how do they do it  all in that last hour  I assume they also would have to do the dishes as well in that 1 hour period.?

A 4kg capacity washing machine may cost less than a 7 or 10kg machine, but if it means having to do two wash loads instead of one, it is a waste of time and energy.

Also 1 load in a bigger machine uses less water than 2 loads it would take in a smaller machine to do the same amount of washing.

Anyone concerned about using less  water/electricity in the laundy would buy a front loader.

Children get home most days between 3.15-345.pm,

They have showers as soon as they get home, They are allowed no longer then 10 mins shower get dressed be ready for study at the table, My husband has some afternoon tea awaiting in the fridge usually fruit as we do not allow junk foods in our home. We have 3 bathrooms so 3 showers can be had at once if your wondering how we get it over with so quickly each child is restricted to no longer then 5mins in the bathroom during this time and gets dressed in his/hers own bedrooms which saves time.

We talk about the news story's during study which is between 3.45-7.45 and is recorded from the mornings news usually the first 20mins is watched. Study gets stopped for 10mins for the children to have dinner at 6pm. Study then is continued on till 7.45pm, The children then get 15mins to stack the dishwasher and wipe the counters. Then  after that they get ready for bed at 8.30pm. They usually read more of the bible or a book just before they go to bed before lights out.

we manage very well around our full time work, My Mum and dear mother in law are such  angels god bless them, she goes well beyond in helping the children when my husband or i are unable to do so due to work commitments.

The children are also very capable of doing study on their own, They know that they have to provide proof of their study through a essay for us to discuss.

My children are excellant children they are well behaved and know that god will punish them if they are found to be to be in breach of our lords contract.

Hope this answers your questions, May our lord be with you.
