new version of edge...doh!

so now i have the new shiny version of 'EDGE'

how do i make it open up on google and not what i'm getting as the default?

OK - try opening Edge - untick default.

ok, ive gotten rid of the page full of endless pictures of links to stories i have no interest in

now i have an huge blue lake with land on each side

in the middle there is the huge edge symbol with a search bar (the bing one)

above all this i do have another search bar and yes, if i type a subject and hit the magnifying glass i go to google results

not quite what i was after, 

but i guess it'll do

i liked just having the darn thing open with a full screen with just the google seach bar in the center.

i'll just have to get used to this new thing

I don't like the favourites set up.

I have to find a work around for that....or get used to it.

Hi there , try click on the three dot menu dropdown at right hand corner > settings > On Start Up > select " open on specific page or pages" > add new page > input desired url , click add , closoe browser and restart

Cos I can't find any of that.

David, I've got it figured.

Go to Google search - copy the URL

Then click on the 3 dots, but go down to More tools.

A side menu comes up with Pin to task bar.

Put in Google's URL, and it will be on your task bar at the bottom of the screen.

Isn't that what you wanted in the first place?

I used Windows 10  from July 2015 and still have the license , but not lately , anyhow here is tutorial for Windows 10 version Edge Browser

i still have the blue curled up thing but now i also have a google symbol down there i can click on and bring up mr google.
