Holy mackerel, I thought those 24 packs had gone extinct.

further to roger drakes interview
he claims his stores are breaking packs down and selling them as 4 rolls per customer, not sure how legal that is
but i would be fine with getting a 4 roll pack once a week, even once a fortnight.
but i'm getting nothing, week after week after week.
as i keep saying, i dont need it yet but i'm begining to get worried this situation is being miss handled big time.
and when i do need it there still wont be any!

David, have you tried getting to the store early just as they open?
We have used the special shopping hour for Seniors twice now and have not had any trouble getting what we wanted. My OH was even offered a pack of toilet paper on his last visit without even wanting it.
He arrived at the store at opening time 7am and there were 3 pallets of toilet paper and full freezers of frozen veges.
He did most of the shopping then attended a medical appointment. At 10am on his way home he called back in to get some frozen veges and the freezers were almost empty and the toilet paper was completely gone.....all in the space of 3 hours.

i didnt think at 60 i was old enough to be using 'seniors' acess
i dont look old and well i think real older people with needs should get first go.
i dont at this point need the toilet paper, i have plenty
but i'm not seeing any improvement in this situation and fear when i do need it things will still be the same
i'm making noise, expressing my views of what i'm seeing locally where i can
here and on facebook pages
its not like i can call up the CEO's
these people need to know its getting rediculous that its over a month since we were shown the warehouses full of toot paper with promises there was no shortages
but every week i visit my local stores and see empty shelves
i say not good enough
whatever they are doing is failing
i'm offering sugestions on improving the system
stamping hands is my first thought

If you're 60 and not working full time you can get a seniors card.
Why shouldn't you get one? It will offer you a slight discount on some things occasionally.
If you have a seniors card, you can also do the 7-8am slot Mon, Wed, Fri.
Doesn't matter if you look old or not. Carers, neighbours etc can do it for an older person, some other people may have a disability. Not everyone over 60 looks old and the hour isn't just for old people.
If you go at 7am you stand a better chance of getting some TP. If you can't or don't want to go then, be there at 8am.
I am on a facebook page called dunny busters where people post when they see a shop with TP. Most of the time it is in other suburbs but one red letter day at 4pm it was in my area.
What a few of us noticed though was some areas seem to have constant supplies, while others are spasmodic.
It is making a farce of the government announcements that we didn't need to panic buy. Those who bought up big are sitting pretty (so to speak) while the rest of us scramble for supplies.

I looked at the Drakes website and the opening hours for your local store.....there was no mention of the special hours for Pensioners etc but they do open at 7am. I would get there at opening time when the shelves are fully stocked.
There is a list of items which have limits....it might be an idea to have a look. If you need any of the limited items head there first as they will obviously go first.

Hi David, Are you able to use Coles home delivery? They have their priority online service running now. My first order for over 6 weeks was delivered today. When I placed the order they had both 8 and 20 packs of toilet rolls. Naturally the 20 pack was cheaper anyway so no brainer decision on them.
Pleased to say not only were all the items I wanted available, apart from turnips and swedes- can live without them in my soup, but Coles very kindly included a free gift of 6 Easter buns.
Good luck

i have done woolies and my local drakes
i just heard roger drake on radio claiming there isnt a shortage!
then why is there NONE in his wallaroo store!
i suggest to both these companys to stamp the back of customers hands who buy toot paper, stop the multiple buyers!
i doubt they care
There has been NO toilet paper in my local IGA for 4 weeks! No paper towel/tissues either ..... Apparently the keep ordering it and it doesnt arrive in their load
If central distribution is delberately ceasing suppling when they have in wharehouse , then an investigation must be requested and actioned or a boycott of the offending stores organised.

As that can not be accounted for ( bar codes can not be divided ) is probably illegal or they are obligated to retail for free and write off the loss as charity contributions
