Dropped in at Aldi on the way home in Cannington, $7.99 for a 24 pack of TP. So all's well at Joz' garage.
Surprised how competitive they are.. so bought quite a few things!

Haha, Overheard an old fella chatting to a mate; saw somebody wanted to return a pallet load of TP... Adi knocked them back
Bet these hoarders feel like a right knob now.

there are 2 distinct groups, hoarders who bout big for personal use and the bisterds who saw an oportunity to make a profit.
the second group deserves to be lumbered with their lifetime supply for a lifetime!

IGA here are selling 2ply 7x length individually wrapped rolls for about $5 - seems to have solved the supply issue
I am starting to think that walking out with large conventional sealed bag of rolls was some sort of security blanket in the face of uncertainty rather than reacting to the possibility of a supply chain break down ( like I am savvy , i am prepared , i can provide)
If the fear of a supply chain breakdown was the dominate factor why not a serious run on frozen food ?

There was. And packaged, easy to freeze, meat. And sugar, flour and pasta.
