This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic 🙂
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts

Dunno about grandma's time though, Deb
When I was a teenager, our washing machine broke down.
No money for another. And the good old copper was still
sitting in the corner. Good thing was, it was connected to the gas.
Had to use it for the washing. Yes, still had the pot stick too.
Then the briquette hot water service went. Heated the water
in the copper and put a garden hose on the tap - all through
the house to the bathroom, just to have a bath.
We did that for about 3 years before mum saved enough money.
Ah, the good old days - not

Events like those have "strengthened our character" .....and given us the opportunity to use some "MacGyver Solutions"

I wanted/needed a wooden bench/seat for outside.
Something to sit on, something to repot plants on; an all round utility bench.
I couldn't find anything in the hardware stores/garden centres that "worked", so I made one.
It's a very simple five plank bench, it does the trick, and that's all that matters.

Very nice and finished off nicely too
No dodgy workmanship there 🙂

Thanks, Oppy.
Cutting away the bits at the tops of the legs so the sides fit flush was a bit touch and go... I "think" I'm not cutting away too much...
It worked out okay in the end.

Dont part with that old copper.
A couple of months ago copper was worth
$5, 600 a ton might still be havent checked since
The guy that was installing the lines for the new
NMB told me that when telstra s contract runs
Out next year they are taking the copper from the
Old lines as part of their contract
