A currawong turned up in the evening, and looked disbelievingly at the empty table.
"How can this be...? I'm here and the food isn't...".
I went out and put a palm size pile of sultanas out on the table for him, even though he'd flown off.
I figured he'd be back if he felt like it...
It can't have taken me more than a minute to get back inside, and look out the window, and all but three of the sultanas were gone, ha ha.
Something catches my eye, out the window...
It's Father magpie.
"I'm just foraging around...".
Uh huh... On the lookout for any special treats that might just happen to be there...?
"Well..." he says, "Walk past the window, get something special... You never know, it's worked in the past...", ha ha.
Those birds love me, ha ha.
