This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic ๐
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out
Of the conversation

Don't think I've ever seen a horse in costume before. You have missed a treat Stawks if you have not seen the Fancy Dress class at the Easter Show.In Sydney it is usually at the end of the show and it is great fun. For the whole show the horses and riders have been tarted up for their formal classes and then they are free to have a ball.I have seen some fantastic costumes but the one above would surely have won a prize....it is terrific.

In the early days of the garden I thought I'd build a rockery.
Nothing too ambitious - it was a ring of stones about the size of a bathtub.
The ring, that is, not the stones... bathtub sized stones probably would have proved difficult to move, ha ha.
I haunted garden centres collecting unusual succulent plants...
Reds and purples and greens, ones with different shaped and textured leaves...
Once it came together, it looked pretty good.
And it continued to look good through the warm months...
The first frost pretty much killed everything, bar two plants, one of which struggled, and the other which thrived.
The rockery was fast going down the road of no longer being a success...
From rockery to mockery, ha ha.
Some years on, all I have to show for my efforts is a large green lump, punctuated by the occasional stone peeking out from underneath.
This morning I found something new "growing" in it - a rather grumpy old man cockatoo - "I was having some sun time and now you've disturbed me...", ha ha.
All is not lost it seems, ha ha, it may lack the visual appeal of the original plan, but it makes a mighty fine cushion, ha ha.

It's been raining on and off all day, and a bit of water has collected on the pergola roof.
The old bird stands on the bridge, under the edge of the pergola roof and reaches up...
He grabs hold of the edge of the roof panel and gently pulls down so that the water runs straight into his beak.
"You don't get water fresher than that", he says, ha ha.
