This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic ๐
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out

How it was, in years past...
The little possum would reach about six months of age...
And Takeaway would decide that it was time for the little possum to leave the maternal home...
There would be lots of squeaking and thumping and the little possum being chased by Mum - Go on, get out of here... Make your way in the world rather make a nuisance of yourself here...
That's how it was...
Over the last few weeks, to a month, I've been waiting for the "inevitable" to happen... ha ha.
And it hasn't...
Takeaway sleeps in one house, Zoo sleeps in another.
Takeaway has her breakfast, Zoo (when she works out where it is, relative to where she is) has hers...
The worst that Takeaway has done, so far, apart from stamping her foot, once, which made Zoo scurry away is to growl at Zoo...
But she did have grounds - Zoo decided to climb down the lattice...
That's the one thing that Takeaway has never liked her doing...
Zoo was clinging, some might say precariously, to the lattice, head pointing down, with, potentially, a decent five foot drop, with nothing to break her fall but the ground below.... ha ha.
Takeaway sat on the bridge above, poked her head over the edge and said "Grrr"... It's a been a long time since I've heard her growl, ha ha.
In spite of her "fierce independence", and free spiritedness, Zoo still listens to her Mum, and climbed back up onto the bridge, much to the relief of her Mum.
Then she scampered off down the bridge, giggling, because that's the kind of silly girl she is, ha ha.
Once again she followed the path to breakfast, "As we always have", and once again she found Mum having breakfast...
Zoo can't have breakfast with her Mum.
I don't think that her Mum would object, overly, but Zoo is at that age where going near "big" possums is a very bad thing to do...
And so once again, ha ha, we went through the "What do I do now?" routine...
I've given up trying to be helpful and give her directions, she seems to know what to do as far as finding "her" breakfast goes.... ha ha.
Throughout the entire proceeding, Takeaway continued eating, as though nothing was happening...
In previous times... there would have been chasing and grunting and squealing... the big possum being fierce, fearsome, even, your choice... and the little possum would have been scurrying to safety.... ha ha.
You know, I don't miss the "Good old days"... ha ha.
I did have a thought, earlier in the day.... what if Zoo doesn't move out?
I wonder how long Takeaway's kind, gentle and benevolent mood will last...ha ha.

I heard one of the magpies singing, yesterday.
It's been quiet, here - it must be a couple of weeks since an eager little figure has run towards me, then just as fast departed with a beak full of food, ha ha.
They did this last year... a day without a magpie wasn't a day... ha ha.
And then they were gone...
Then the singing.... and the chance sighting of them a way up the street... three of them....
They looked okay.
I didn't really want to go interfering - waving a piece of bread and saying "hello"...
When they want to, they'll come by....
