This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic ๐
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out
Of the conversation
Solved! Go to Solution.

Of all the things I'm still trying to find an excuse to get out of doing....
I think the walking stick's in the back of the car.
Finding anything in the back of the car is akin to finding clean clothing on the floor of an average teenager's bedroom, ha ha.
Still, the great task awaits me...
You see, out there in the big world there are fewer door frames than there are here.
Door frames are Nature's way of stopping me from heading face first onto the carpet when I go to take a step and my leg suddenly decides that it doesn't want to play... and they do, most of the time, anyway... curse this "open plan" design... ha ha.
The leg tends to not want to work, pretty much by it's own time frame, and never with any warning...
Try carrying a bowl of hot soup about 20 feet... I feel like I'm a contestant in one of those horrendous made for TV game shows... ha ha.
It doesn't do it all the time, but when it does, it does...
I guess that's the "fun" part - never knowing when things are about to turn disastrous, ha ha.
If I don't look at the bright side... then all I've got is a window seat on all the other things that are slowly grinding me down, ha ha.
Having learnt the secrets of them, now, I have been considering building a conveyor belt from kitchen to lounge, to make the "delivery" of such things as hot soup a somewhat safer enterprise...
It's another one of those ideas I'm having to get me out of having to go and look in the car... ha ha.

ecar - the only thing that gives out here - is my sense of humour - sometimes.
I'm still learning.
Perhaps a trolley - wine on the top - soup on the bottom - priorities.
Can double up as excitement if you have a steep driveway.

Ecar, after the last mishap of leaving my walking stick at the motel, I now have three.
Perhaps leave that one in the car, and get another for the house?

Yeah, with you on the sense of humour, ha ha.
The written word doesn't always convey the subtleties that spoken words, and probably more importantly facial and hand gestures do.
The trouble I've always found with text is that literalism lurks in the wings.
It's very easy to misread what should be, on the face of it, very easy to read...
But, this is the form of communication given unto us, to join us all together in a vast global village and yet it can be so utterly impersonal...
Aside from the "deeper thoughts", I like the trolley idea...
The steep driveway might be fraught with danger, though...
Woo Hoo! We're going on an adventure with adventure and excitement and probably a trip to the local medical centre!!
I'll have to wear the ice bucket as a helmet... ha ha.
It's only in the last couple of years that I've managed to "panel beat" the "person on home made billy cart" shaped dent out of the garage doors.
And they're made of wood...
Boy, that was a job... ha ha.

Gee, Stawks, what would I need a stick in the house for?
I've got door frames and furniture to steady me, ha ha.
Seriously, though, it is a good idea - that way when I'm out I can say "Ah, left my stick at home...", ha ha.
I built a light to go on the walking stick, years back.
Excusing the pun, I thought it was brilliant, ha ha.
But it was chunky... going with what came to hand didn't mean sleek and elegant - not so much Ferrari as cement truck, ha ha.

Just because it's an old favourite and I haven't posted it in a while...
