She bellows at the hapless and unsuspecting possum, inside...

There was a squeak, somewhere between surprise and shock, and a smaller possum proved my theory that there are, indeed, two entrances to that nest...

Or an entrance and a (hasty) exit, you could read it either way... ha ha.

Good morning all!  Hope everyone is enjoying the summer and not suffering too much with the heat wave over there on the mainland?

Mass confusion reigns in this house at the moment!  The Mac trying to deal with the PC;  the PC in full flight trying not to be in the Mac ... it's like Star Wars where R2D2 versus ..... well, you know!  I think it's going to come down to having a PC and a Mac running independently next to each other on the same desk .. the mind boggles! ...  ... but stranger things have happened.

Ecar .... we watched a program called "possum wars" recently, they are such wonderful animals;  I know many folks think of them as just pests, but really, in my opinion, they are wonderful.  Sometimes I think it's not because there are too many animals, but too many people on the planet who have wrecked their (the animals) homes and not the other way around ...  , so it all ends up as an unbalanced ecological situation.

It would be so easy to become cynical and cite the two great houses of Verona... Sorry, Not Capulet and Montague, but Mac and PC...

Let us, at least hope that things don't turn out quite that badly, ha ha...

Imagine future generations of schoolchildren having to endure that particular version of the story...

I can only imagine Baz Luhrman's take on it, ha ha.

The weather bloke said, yesterday, "Afternoon or early evening rain, possible thunderstorm...".

And he was proven duly correct... ha ha.

Nobody thought to mention the repeat performance that occurred something after midnight, ha ha.

I could hear the possum making haste along the bridge, hoping, I thought, to escape the coming rain...

Scuffle, scuffle, claws clicking here and there...

There was an incredibly loud, and very much overhead peal of thunder...

I know that possums can accelerate, but this one sounded like it came pretty close to overshooting the T junction, at the end of the bridge, in it's haste to escape the sudden and terrible noise... ha ha.

Well, yes, in the circumstances I wouldve moved pretty quickly, too... ha ha.
