It was a bit windy, earlier on...
You could say that the wind was blowing a gale, but people'd look at you funny, ha ha.
The Bureau said 20 to 45 km/h, and looking at the trees, they weren't wrong.
There was no flock in, just one cockatoo here, pretty much for the whole day.
He enjoyed himself... there was enough food out for a dozen or so, ha ha.
Come about quarter to five the wind dropped right back and all of a sudden I had that dozen, and more, birds, ha ha.
Including, I might add, the old man bird who comes every day, if the weather's okay, ha ha...he wasn't about to miss out on his favourite food, windy day or not, ha ha.
It's that acoustic problem, again...
I'm sitting with the back door, open, to my back, and I heard the possum belch...
Now which house did it come from...? ha ha.
I had a momentary vision of myself out there with a stethoscope, and a serious expression... ha ha.
Someone's out there...
Someone'll probably get up while I'm watching TV, and silently slip into the night...
The first thing I'll know of them being around is when they sneak up behind another possum, and there's a startled "Eep!" followed by the sound of running feet... ha ha.
