This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic 🙂
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out

The old man bird who likes stay back late very deliberately made his way down onto the big table...
I'd already put the food out and he made his way down so that he could pick through the bread and find the "best" pieces, ha ha.
He likes to take a piece and then climb back about a third of the way up the ramp to perch and eat it...
The day was getting on, even by his standards, so he headed for the tree in the corner, ready to climb it and fly away for the day...
I noticed when he was about half way up that he had a small piece of bread clutched in his beak - I've got my packed lunch... I'll be okay... ha ha.
He'll be back tomorrow, and no doubt I'll find him sitting on a "quiet" piece of bridge while the youngsters rush around him like peak hour traffic... ha ha.
Poor old long suffering bird... ha ha.
Poor old long suffering bird who's worked out that he gets about ten minutes to himself at the end of the day where, if he sticks around, he's waited on hand and foot...
Poor old bird, how does he cope? ha ha.

The old man bird turned up, right on time...
Round the bridges he came and walked straight over the neat little pile of food I'd put out for him, specially, ha ha.
He stopped about half way along the bridge, looked at me and said "Where's the bread? Bread would be good...".
Like Yul Brynner as the King of Siam all he needs to do is clap his hands and the bread appears... ha ha.
Now that he's happy, at least for the moment, I can go about taking care of other things, ha ha...
I put the remainder of the bread down on the big table.
At least in theory it's breakfast for the early arrivers... In theory, ha ha.
"Ooh... Look at all that lovely bread...", he said, and made his way down the ramp to the table...
"So much bread... So much food... I shall sample everything... Hmmm.... Thirsty....".
He headed for the shallow dish at the end of the table and tried to get a beakful of water, unsuccessfully...
We both looked to the big bird bath at the same time...
It's deeper than the shallow dish and only two or three steps away...
I started to say "What about the bird bath..." and he stopped me...
"Hold that thought, count to five, then tell me that thought..." he said...
Okay... Count one to five... "What about the big bird bath...?".
He'd managed to cover the three steps necessary and said "It's okay, I'm already onto it...".
Just another instance of him making it seem like he had the idea first, ha ha.
So the thing to try and remember tomorrow is to put the little pile of food on the bridge, where he'll find it, along with two pieces of bread (better to be safe than sorry, ha ha).

Very early in the piece I warned the wrens about not getting underfoot...
No worries, they said, advice taken on board...
I'm walking up the path and suddenly a blue flash goes from undergrowth to undergrowth, across the path, closely followed by a brown flash following the same course, about fifteen feet ahead of me...
That's taking being safe a little more seriously than I meant, but I won't complain... ha ha.
