I stopped in the carpark and three cockatoos flew in, low, over the roof of the building next to me...
Two of them stopped in the trees on the edge of the carpark and the other landed on the roof of the car parked next to me...
"You going to be long?", it asked...
"Aah... Fifteen minutes, or so", I said...
It stood there a moment and then said "Okay, we'll stick around...", ha ha.
I came back out and they were all sitting on top of the car, much to the amusement of a couple of people who were in the carpark...
Down the long, sweeping road we went, one bird in front, two off to my right, following the nature strip, staying just ahead of me... Flying home...
Flying with me...
They know I'm not a bird, but sometimes, in a way, to them, I am...
