Out of the possum house emanates a noise not unlike that of an excited cicada... ha ha...
It sounds a lot like the noise they make when, in essence, they want you to go away...
But it's not quite the same...
It doesn't seem to matter if I, or the birds, are near the doorway or not, she chirps when she feels like it... ha ha.
Strange... Unusual...
The little lightbulb above my head switches on... ha ha...
She's the mother with the little one in her pouch... who's had the little one out of the pouch all day, in the house, if for no other reason than comfort...
And now it's "Get back in the pouch..." time...
"But I don't want to... I'm almost big enough to run around on my own..."... ha ha.
"I'm hot , and I'm tired, and I'm not in the mood to play silly games, and most importantly, I'm Your Mother And What I say Goes...", ha ha.
