This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic 🙂
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out

There's always a perfectly plausible reason for a delivery being delayed.... ha ha...

I got grumbled at, today... I was, apparently, running late...
"You've forgotten My breakfast...", said the old man bird, ha ha...
Yesterday, the other old man bird decided to be a picky eater...
I gave him a piece of wholemeal bread, which he held in his beak for all of half a second before dropping it... Where I had no choice but to see him doing so... ha ha...
"I only eat multigrain...", he said... ha ha...
They'll have me making bread specially for them, next... ha ha...

Further adventures in making ugly furniture... ha ha...
Pallets were always something found lying discarded on the other side of a fence...
A tall fence..
The kind of fence that you might be tempted to climb, but not the kind of fence you'd try to drag a pallet back over, with you...
And the pallets would, generally, be filthy and battered and frankly, not worth the trouble...
Sometimes, if fortune smiled on you, you'd find pallets on the right side of the fence, and in not too bad condition...
Where did I put that colourful magazine article about recycling pallets into furniture?
According to the article it's an exciting project! And, it'll only take a weekend!!
And by reusing the pallets I'll be recycling!
How virtuous of me! ha ha...
Hang on... are we talking about the same pallets?
It's just that the ones I have took most of an afternoon to clean....
And because they're rough sawn timber, it took a good day to sand them to something near a moderately smooth finish...
I don't know about feeling virtuous, but I do remember feeling tired, and slightly disappointed because all I had to show for my efforts was a particularly ugly piece of furniture...
One that I somehow managed to overlook when I left, when that particular lease expired... ha ha.
