the nothing ,anything ,everything thread

This is a thread with no particular

Topic so no one can be off topic 🙂

So if anyone out there has something

To say about anything you like now

Is your chance

Keep it clean

And be nice

See how long that lasts

Can we keep politics and religion out

Of the conversation

Re: the nothing ,anything ,everything thread

Stawks and Tas, thank you both for your kind words, and thoughts, this past week.

I do appreciate them.

🙂

Pain, pain, go away, come again.... No, actually, don't come again...

Sorry, I can't suggest an alternative course of action to you because I lent my copy of The Boys' Own Very Big Book Of Suggestions That You Wouldn't Make In Front Of your Mother to Winston Churchill and the rotter still hasn't returned it, ha ha.

Anyway, off you pop... There's bound to be someone out there who's deserving of your attention, go and bother them, there's a good chap...

Did you know that seatbelts can cause arthritis?

Seatbelts save your life, in an accident, so that means you'll live longer.

The longer you live, the more likely it is that you'll develop arthritis...

Seatbelts... Who would've thought? ha ha...

MIA yesterday, Ecar.  Hope the pain's not too bad.

You've not mentioned kids, (that I remember) but I guess this would be you and yours.

Re: the nothing ,anything ,everything thread

The currawong was perched about head height, showing a lot of interest in the bread I was holding - "That's for me... That's for me... Yes, yes, it's for me...", ha ha.

I held the bread up and it grabbed a chunk, looked very satisfied with it's efforts and wandered off to eat it....

I'm happy to encourage them.... When they're not eating bread they're foraging around looking for worms, and bugs, and those really big spiders that I don't like, ha ha...

Having hydrodilitation on Saturday.
Should be nice and painful after the local anasthetic wears off.
Not allowed to drive home.
Not an issue at the moment because my vehicle is at home and I'm in Ballarat
Have to have someone pick me up but no vehicle where I am staying.
One of those deals where you can drop dead and you must have someone around to ring the ambulance if things go pear shaped

There's no two ways about ... That sounds horrible... 😞

I'm stuck for what the appropriate thing to say is, at the moment.

How about Come back to us better than when you left us.

It's always annoying to know that a procedure is about to be done that has no proven extra benefit than just the cortisone.
Cortisone fixed the rotator cuff injury of the left shoulder brilliantly took three separate shots though There's no reasoning with health "professionals"
So I'll just have to take my medicine and be thankful that something good might come out of it

Apparently it's always five o'clock, somewhere in the world...

I guess the same goes for Birthdays...

Re: the nothing ,anything ,everything thread

At Whitby, in Yorkshire, in the UK there's an arch made from whale bones.

Whitby arch 1.PNG

It's a bit big for the average garden, so some enterprising soul set about creating a smaller, wooden version...

Whitby arch 2.PNG

I think it's a bit fancy... It'd look good at one of those places that hosts wedding receptions, ha ha...

I'll stick to making arches based on Leonardo DaVinvi's bridge design.

The good thing about it is that it comes with a 'flat spot' in the middle, at the top, so various animals will have somewhere to sit and survey the world, ha ha...

It's made up of "H" shaped pieces that interlock so it's pretty easy to put together - and can, quite literally, turn into "An arch in afternoon"...

Stick the bits in the back of the car, drive over to a mate's place, put it up and stand back and admire your handiwork...

Then he'll look at it, fold his arms, look thoughtful and say "Could it go three feet over that way?", ha ha...
