This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic 🙂
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out

Aaaand we're back to the north nest...............

It looks like Mum and/or Dad sent them packing back to the north nest so they can roost on the wooden panel and keep an eye on the little tackers.

Picture a child, somewhere between six and eleven years old...
They're in the car, perched right at the front of the driver's seat...
With one hand either side of the steering wheel, they're peering through the gap between the wheel and the top of the dash...
"Why can't I drive the car?" they say, "I can see the road..."... ha ha.
Luggage, the possum, who isn't such a little girl anymore is exploring the boundaries of what it's like to nearly be a "grown up"...
Yesterday she put her "independence" to the test...
Her Mum slept in the house at one end of the pergola, and she slept in the house at the other end...
That's a very grown up and independent thing to do... ha ha.
She'll probably be here for a few more weeks before "Out there" seems more interesting than "here", and off she'll go...
And poor Mother possum will be left here, all on her own...
With no one to hear her heave a sigh of relief and say "Well, that's one less thing I have to worry about..."... ha ha.

Watching the falcon babies has been a tad brutal today.
So far, I've happened to tune in when she's landed with live pigeons, to despatch them for us to see.
Last night one baby slept by itself in the south nest, and was very huddled and cold.
Mumma came along at around 5am and spread the warmth for it, so that was nice.
But....if one baby is by itself in another nest, does it get fed? Or does mumma want it to come to her?

I may be wrong Stawks but I think that baby may not be very well.
It looks like the one that was not eating yesterday and it seems to be keeping to itself...the other babies seem to be ignoring it too.
Mum was cuddling it early this morning then she took off for a few minutes and returned with Dad is tow.....he took over babysitting while she took off.

Hope you're wrong Lyndal.
It seems to be the smallest, so the youngest I'd reckon.
I judge the feeds on their craws/crops. Little one seems to be holding it's own so far.
Shame we can't switch cameras ourselves.
