This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic ๐
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out

I know it's cold, today...
A galah landed on the window sill and tapped on the kitchen window - "Let me in! You've got the food in there and it's probably warmer, too!", ha ha...
Usually they'll gather in the big tree out the back, and chatter amongst themselves, but today...? ha ha...
Somehow I think "I'm just going up to that intersection where I can pause, giving way to oncoming traffic, and while I'm there get a clear view of the back hills to see if there's snow on them, yet" doesn't really cut it as a reasonable excuse for being out and about this afternoon.
Oh well, I suppose there's always tomorrow.
I have to whip up to the shops anyway...
I'll be sure to take the empty milk bottle with me as proof that I've run out of milk, and need to get some more, ha ha...
I'll tell you for nothing, tea, white and two, without the white, comes as a fair shock to the system first thing in the morning, ha ha...
I'd get a box of that long life stuff, but I might as well drip burning plastic into my tea - it tastes about the same, ha ha...

I can see it now...
"Tell us a story about the old days, Grandpa"...
"Okay... A long time ago there was this stuff called hand cleanser... It came in a little bottle with a sort of pump nozzle on top, and you squirted it onto your hands and then rubbed them together like you were washing them, and you didn't even need soap and water, or a towel to dry your hands...".
Kids look on in wide eyed amazement...
Ha ha...

A timely reminder that NSFW includes working from home... I starred the "Naughty" word, just in case, ha ha...

It's developing into a pattern...
I'll take breakfast out for the birds, and when I come back with an empty container, the latest cheeky old man bird will be standing on the armrest of the bench, right beside the back door...
"You've used up all the food... And I'm standing here with nothing... A poor old man bird, going hungry... But you can make it all better if you get me a treat, ha ha...".
Yet another little finger that I find myself wrapped around, ha ha...

The habit I've got into with the birds, over time, is slowly making it's way into my out of house interactions...
The birds don't have eyes in the back of their heads, so if I'm going to walk behind them, I tell them "I'm just coming round behind you".
It's a simple courtesy.
One which I extended to a person this afternoon, as I passed them in the supermarket.
There was plenty of room to get past, but all the same, if they can't see me, the next best thing is to do is let them know I'm passing by...
At least, that's my thinking on it... ha ha...
I thought it was a sweet gesture on the part of the young lady wearing a paper mask, that when I pulled to the side to let her pass, in one of the aisles, she drew, with her fingertip, a smile; a broad U shape across her mask.
Smiling in the time of the virus... We all have to adapt, ha ha...

I've found, over the years, that crows make great messengers, but lousy couriers.
I tried to send, by crow, some mince to someone once...
Needless to say it didn't get there, intact, ha ha...
"I'm only a poor little crow, it was heavy, so I thought I'd make it lighter.. and I got hungry..."...
They're not the best couriers, but they're excellent messengers.
If you ever want to make a long distance caw, they're the ones to go to , ha ha...
