This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic 🙂
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out
Of the conversation

It looks like we're in for a couple of hot days, so I might be treated to the sight of a possum keeping cool...
They sprawl in the doorway of the possum houses.
It's a confronting sight the first time that you see it...
Playing possum... with a difference... ha ha...

A gorilla goes into a bar and orders a martini. This totally amazes the bartender, but he thinks, "What the heck, I guess I might as well make the drink." So he mixes the martini.
He then walks back over to the give it to the gorilla, and the animal is holding out a twenty-dollar bill.
Well, now the bartender is just at a loss for words. He can't believe that a gorilla walked into his bar, ordered a martini, and then actually had a twenty-dollar bill to pay for it.
So, in amazement, he takes the twenty and walks to the cash register to make the change.
While he's standing in front of the cash register he stops for a second and thinks to himself, "Let me try something here and see if the gorilla notices anything."
So he walks back over to the gorilla and hands him a dollar change.
The gorilla doesn't say anything, he just sits there sipping the martini.
After a few minutes the bartender just can't take it anymore.
"You know," he says to the gorilla, "we don't get too many gorillas in here."
And the gorilla says, "At nineteen dollars a drink I'm not surprised."
(A dollar change... you might have thought he'd get some silver back, ha ha)...

Back in about 2002, armed with nothing but a grainy black and white photo in a book to go by, I was inspired to build a quadruped walking robot.
Having, at the time, a budget of next to nothing, the main building material was coat hanger wire... ha ha...

It's nothing near as sleek or sophisticated as Boston Dynamics' Big Dog... ha ha...

A little faux fur, a snout, a tail, big eyes...you could have a robot version of your cute possums! I like it!

I miss the good old days...
I opted for fancy automatic windows that wind down with the touch of a button...
All well and good, but if you accidentally press the wrong button without noticing, it's very easy to open the off side rear passenger window and leave it open...
Wait 'til it rains! It's not as funny as it sounds...
I can lock the windows closed, but then my passengers grunt at me because then their windows won't open.
You just can't win, ha ha...

I can relate to that, sir. My personal car has crank window handles and locks that you use your fingers on instead of switches, lol! You'd probably like my car, she's a '75 El Camino. My girl can haul 1/2 a ton! Her name is Poppy.
