I have never heard a man whinge about putting the toilet seat up to pre but nearly every woman whinges about putting it back down. Why is that , even if the seat had a mass of 1000kg it would be far easier ti put it down than up. As fir the lid if you don't shut it when you flush you are just contaminating your whole house with fecal matter. Every time you flush some water particles are atomized and these will contain fecal matter.

The seat has to be put down so that when I go in the middle of the night and don't turn the light on, I don't fall in. Simple 🙂
