what the hecks going on with blood tests?
so i have type 2 diabetes and get sent to have blood tests then a week later have a 'review' with a nurse and my doctor.
no problem there
but recently these tests, well not the acctual test, but the time i am forced to sit in a waiting area is just rediculous
my test takes about 5 minutes from the time im called to where im out the door heading home
last time i was waiting about an hour and a half, the longest id ever waited
today i waited an hour and a half and only 3 people were actually tested and left!
when i arrieved i took a number, 15
the first person called after i arrived was 7
they had reached 10 when i got angry and left!
an hour and a half to take blood from 3 people!
you have to be kidding!
btw, remember i was fasting, no food since last night!
and diabetic!!

I know it is probably difficult for you, but if it was me and it had happened more than once, I think I would ask if there was a reason for the delay ......and point out that it was a fasting blood test. Obviously, do it politely and don't imply anything negative.
As you are going to the hospital I would assume they are busy with inpatients. I know there is a sign at the pathologist I go to that states patients are triaged on a basis of urgency and that first in will not necessarily be seen first.
Maybe ask if there is a better time for you to come to have your blood test as the time you are going seems to be overly busy.
My only other suggestion is to take a book (or kindle). Whenever I settle in to a wait at the Doctors or anywhere else with a good story to read, my name seems to be called far too quickly😳😁

It looks like SA pathology is struggling David.

I also had type 2. Did you know that it's reversible if you lose enough weight? I lost 50 lbs by going low carb. No more medicine or blood tests for me!
Well best to get rid of Fluoride as it is dangerous to the kidneys of diabetics as well as disrupts our endocrine system. Lowers our immunity as well

Yes, Sigmund Freyd had a nephew called Edward Bernays. Edward sold the idea of cigarettes to women. Also had a role in the Manhattan Mushroom thingy.
The great actor Martin Sheen starred in a film aboout it.
Anyway, Edward not a nice chap and his propaganda affects us to this very day.
.
Pre-diabetic, Type 1 or Type 2, just get Fluoride out of the water!! Reverse Osmosis filter will do the job. Or buy Fluoride free water.

i rang my GP and there is another place where i can get my bloods taken so i'll go there either tomorrow or thursday
the slowness at todays test was nothing to do with pathology or corono virus
they dont do that at the hospital its at another location
set up seperate to keep any possible infections away from the hospital
btw, there is no positive people anywhere near here at this time
and i was the only one wearing a mask today!

Why are you replying to yourself? More importantly, why are you quoting when replying to yourself?

I've never had tim tams (though they look delicious!)... unfortunately, I doubt that they are low in carbs, but I haven't checked the ingredients...

So imastawka, do you have anything else you'd like to add to the discussion? How do you feel about a toxin such as fluoride in our tap water? Surely with the Corona Virus causing problems, surely something that disrupts our endocrine system and taxes our immune system should not be dumped in our water. Don't you think?
