I don't blame you. Here it's the humidity that whacks you in the face. I don't have a/c but after being in the shops, walking outside is like walking into a wet wall.

Great. Looks as though power may be cut to homes across over the next two hours due to electricity demand.
Victorian Premier Denis Napthine has just told ABC radio that some households across the state may have their power cut off in the next two hours to cope with the huge national electricity supply and demand during the heatwave.
Its advised that you contact your power supply company to ensure it is due to planned outage if your household is affected.
If you do lose power, please make sure that any elderly or sick neighbours you may have or family are prepared for this and are well looked after while the temperature says in the high 30's well into tonight.

here, if you walk outside wearing your glasses, they fog up LOL
can't put your sunnies on until they warm up to the ambient temperature - nightmare for peeps with corr4ective lenses. just walking out of the shops to the car, you have to wait a while till the glasses unfog.

Thanks for the tips Karen.I do some or part of some of those .
I wish that chooks didn't run away when you try to spray them with water .The poor things look miserable.
Supa, it's scary to think that people think it OK to leave babies and children in the car in this weather,
Deb, I think Melb must have got far more rain than some areas of Vic which isn't unusual really is it ?
Apparently the heat has caused some strain on fuses and there have been areas without power as a result.
Melbourne and Victoria to bake through another hot day
Melbourne reached a top temperature of 41.7 at 1.31pm and had dropped to 37.8 by 3pm.
Storms are forecast to roll in with the Bureau of Meteorology issuing a warning at 2.30pm of damaging winds and large hailstones for Melbourne, Ballarat, Geelong, Traralgon, Bairnsdale and Orbost over the next few hours.

Its not as bad here, supposed to get hotter in the next couple of days. I really dislike the heat, having to cover up totally when outdoors otherwise i burn like a sausage. We have very high humidity here which is yuk but the dry heat makes me feel like I could burst into flames at any moment. Keep cool everyone, icy frappes help.
If you think you understood what I just wrote, you're probably right
