My girlfriend and her husband run a B & B in Pomonal, in the Grampians, they have been told to leave now or it will be too late..
Bluecat the high temps and squally winds is not a good combination.
Punch, hope they are right and the change comes early particularly where the fires are.

having said that, i really dont understand why anyone would leave it till the last possible minute to get out. I'd have been gone sometime yesterday.
Yesterday the fires were not near them, but they are now, and they have gone, not sure where, back towards Melbourne I woud assume, Pomonal has a population of about 50.
Me.........first sign of smoke or CFA saying fire near by, I would be gone...........everything is ready, even boxes for the chooks..

Actually, not sure if that's correct, may have just been a typo in the emergency updates.
