Here's what I want:
Red LED Backlit
2nd function of number keys and F keys back lit
USB ports
audio jacks (mic and headphones.
Brown Cherry Switches.
Curved keys - not flat like a lap top
As quiet as possible (the razers are noisy buggers, eh?
So, I think I have narrowed it down to 2
1) 2.0 hub (max 100mA each) - does this mean I can recharge things like my iPad/ iPhone and connect a EHD (External Hard Drive)?
2) Ducky 9008S3 Shine3
a) does that keyboard have the USB and audio? I can't tell or find anything about it.
a) are the second function keys back lit? (I can't tell)
b) is this an OK brand? never heard of it?
4) There are a few cooler master's around, but I can't work out if they have the USB and audio or if they are full sized? anyone know> anyone recommend one of these?
5) To reduce noise, I thought I could add some Rubber Dampener O-Rings - how do I put these on? do the keys just come off and I put these on underneath like washers kind of thing? Is it tricky? Do I need special tools?
6) or if anyone could recommend something different that meets my 'wants"?
I'm liking the ducky (cept for the wussy name LOL (currently have a razer black widow and a death stalker LOL (but they're not red)
Thanks in advance

Hi , the ducky keyboard noted by you is cheaper sourced in Australia, anyhow might be helpful to search under multi-media keyboards models as some of these may have support for your peripheral device requirements

Gigabyte Aivia K8100 seems to met most of your requirements, and as listed at half the price

Thanks very much Roges - I have found a ducky in Australia for a lot cheaper (and more accessible than one from overseas) I just didn't want to put an outside link on the eBay boards - but thank you for the thought. $149 plus delivery. from Melbourne (I'm in another State though, but at least that's a store with walls and stuff and likely to be there next moneth LOL
I'll have a look at the gigabyte, thanks for the suggestion.
A reliable brand, do you think?

Hi , i imagine quality would not be an issue as Gigabyte Technologies is gamer orientated - btw , i do not know why most laptops do not use backlit keyboards
