donna I wasnt able to get a purple pair ...as they wanted $70 to have them .... and as I wanted them for nothing .... as Im eligible to have them .... I ended up getting a blue pair .... quite nice .... and oooh arent I a bit psychic LOL ..... the health fund free glasses arent very flash .... but as this is a spare pair .... then I dont really mind .... had a choice of the same style in black or red or blue .... chose the blue ... besides my shirts I wear to work are all blue ... so maybe they will match :^O
my eyes havent changed in 2yrs ...which was good ...so I didnt need to have all the lenses in my other glasses replaced ... sure to cost me money ... mind you she tried to sell me the scratch proof glass and the glare proof glass .... of course that was extra .... like $64 extra 😮 ..... told her no sorry havent worked for the last two weeks so cant afford them .... but to be honest I always keep my glasses in their glass cases .... so they wont get scratched ...and I dont wear them that often to need them to be glare proof ... they are after all only reading glasses .... dont wear them all day ... LOL but I guess they have to try and sell you something instead of just you getting a free pair of glasses .... unlucky for her today 😛

well another wet day over here in the west .... wont be going out much today .... only to grab a few things at the shop .... then back home .... gotta mend a few things ... so will get the sewing machine out .... and Im sure to find other things that require my sewing expertise 😉

Peela! Oh blue frames would be nice choice too. I would love to have a pair of colored frames. Think I will go check some out tomorrow.
Oh I'm so excited....we had loads of rain and a bit of hail earlier this evening. It rained for about 1/2 hour and this is our first storm in many months. It was sooo nice but most of it did not soak into the ground. I love the smell of rain.

oooh donna you have to go get some coloured frames ....I will have 4 pairs of glasses once I get these .... two purple, one burgundy and one blue ....all metal frames .... and I wear them on my nose .... sorta perched on the end :^O ..... cos they are only for reading and if I look through them into the distance I get nauseous ... LOL .....
perched on my nose means I can read what I need to as well as watching the little munchkins in the away areas to make sure they are behaving 😉

well got my mums 80th birthday on Sunday .... we are going to a nice restaurant (smorgasbord) Jettys at Hillarys - with just family going as that is what she wanted .... and shes a sprightly 80 ... never would think she was that old ... she reckons someone stole at least 20years off her .... 😛

Im sure mum will have the best time with all her family present ... she actually ask for no presents from anyone .... but my two sisters and I plus the working grand kids all put money in and bought her a beautiful soft velvet like beige recliner rocker ...with a foot rest ... she loves it ... she had a hip replacement last year so it not as easy as it was getting outta the ordinary lounge chairs .... but my BIL and nephew picked it up and delivered it to her place about 2 weeks ago .... she says its awesome to nanna nap in LOL
