well only worked 3.5hrs this week ... yesterday ... as they needed someone with the proper papers (which I have) to close up ... so the other girl could go home or else she would have had to do a 13hr shift ๐ฎ .....
wasnt booked for next week either ,... but got a call and now working 4days ... not working on the friday ... as its the day before ......

cant believe its nearly here ..... got all the flights confirmed ... and today I teed up the transfer transport ..... between airport/hotel/hotel/airport ..... LOL
at least this year I know my missy will be ok as she is driving now ... last year she was still taking public transport so was a worrying time whilst not here .... as I used to pick her up every night off the train .... and she is excited cos she will be able to use the garage LOL ... as my car will be at my mums so I can come straight home once we get dropped off by taxi when we get back ... :^O
anyway off to finish watching Billy Elliott ... a great movie .... take care all ...

Peela & Mim, I would of traded some of your heat over the past week. Our temps were well below freezing.
On a sad note....my aunt who passed away last October....well my uncle was rushed to the hospital the other night and placed into intensive care. They put him in a helicopter and flew him to Chicago. The prognosis doesn't look well. He needs open heart surgery because 2 of his valves are leaking bad. The doctor told him if he doesn't have the surgery he won't survive; if he has the surgery he might not make it. His 3 sons are not interfering and allowing him to make the decision. ๐

Hello Ladies. ๐ Yes, the weather is still warm here.....high 20sC to low 30sC (82F to 97F). At least it didn't hit 40C (104F) like last week!!!

I am going with my mum & aunt ( 81 & 71 respectively) .... we are going to Bangkok - then after only a 2hrs stopover flying domestic to Chiang Mai ... where we are staying for 5 days .... before flying back to Bangkok and catching a mini bus to take us to Pattaya where we will be spending 6 days ....before heading back to Bangkok for the last 11 days ... same places we always go ... Pattaya is on the coast so should be nice and cool .... ๐
we are staying at a different hotel in both Chiang Mai and Pattaya than we have before ... but the same one in Bangkok .... so should be interesting to see how things go.... sure to be ok they look like lovely hotels ...
anyway must head off now .... probably wont be back in here until I get back ... so take care everyone and stay safe โฅ

Hello Ladies
The part came for the pellet stove. Chris put it right in and everything works beautifully. Just in time too...temps have been down to -22F (-30C). That doesn't even take in consideration for wind chills....It's warmer this weekend with Temps in the 20's F (-7C). But they are going to be going back down this week. brrrrr.
I will be starting my new job finally on Tuesday. Sure has taken a long time for all the paper work and everything. My supervisor seems really great. I've met her a few time now. She will be the one training me. I've also met the manager a couple of times and she really nice as well.
Donna: How's your uncle doing? Is he still having surgery on Monday? Keep him and your family in my prayers!
Peela: I am so jealous of your trip. Have a fantastic time and I can't wait to hear all about it when you get back!

just now starting to get use to the dentures,,,,,,,,,,,on the plus side I did lose about 15 lbs.

Well I got my 1st day in for my new job....wow it sure is busy work! A lot of running around, lifting, moving.....that's good though....I have become too sit on my butt all day since I have been unemployed. There's a lot to get to know but I'll get there. I think I will like is once I am more used to all the different stuff that have to be done and I get my routine worked out.
Holy smokes it's been cold here. We are in the double digit subzero temps. Not supposed to start warming up until the weekend. Galad we got the pellet stove fixed!

Rosie, my uncles surgery was postponed due to his blood levels not being right. He had the surgery today and made it through the long ordeal. The next 24 hours is critical and I'm just waiting for an update. Hope you enjoy your new job.
Zuffy, oh dear....hope you're doing much better now. My stepdad had that done and it took him quite awhile to get use to his dentures. Hope you're doing much better.
