GALLIVANT - Along the nearby leafy track, there was plenty for Rufus to enjoy - interesting plants with a riot of smells, trees with knotholes and rough bark, the aroma of rain-washed earth, and of course the lake around which the track curled and in which the local waterfowl would sit with serene grace; Rufus’ owner knew from his excited barks just how dearly Rufus would like to gallivant freely but she kept a firm hand on his extendible leash!

NAP - After a hard day of chasing the munched-up tennis ball around the back yard, barking at the clouds overhead, digging up bones he’d once buried, and enjoying some cuddles with his owner, it was time for a nap - and Rufus trotted over to his special dog blanket to arrange himself in the best position to stretch out, yawn, and close his laughing eyes for a little while.

GROWL - The next day was cool, with patches of blue sky and no hint of rain, which meant Rufus could spend the morning outside with great pleasure - until the postman’s arrival caused him to give a little growl of warning in case the postman wanted to dognap him.
