Item return to a PO Box? Item not yet collected :o Have until July 3 to return item!

Item was defective.
Opened ebay return.
Wrapped item, printed return label and posted.

Item posted Friday 23 and tracking started Monday 26 June.

Tracking now says "waiting at Hurstville Post shop for collection Tue 27 Jun 6:48am".
Ebay still shows "Your refund should be processed within 4 days of delivery."

If the seller doesn't pick up the return from the post office, is it deemed 'not delivered by July 3' (next Saturday)?

Similar question asked 3 years ago, but no definite resolution posted.

If the item's showing as waiting for collection, it should be deemed to have been delivered. However, it's only been a day; it is far too early to be worrying about non-pickup by the seller.

Give it another day or so.

If no pickup by then, you may be best off contacting eBay Live Chat and informing them of the situation, just to get this processed as smoothly as possible.
