Hi all,
I'm trying to understand what is the difference between an individual account and seller account. I can't seem to navigate through the help section to find the answer.
I've been buying things off ebay for a few years, and I'm hoping to start selling some products. So I'm not sure if I should leave it as an individual account, change to a business account or even open a new business account.
Any advise what is a good approach?
thanks,
Andrew
Andrew, there is no difference between an individual account and a seller account. You can sell on the account you have now, the only thing you will have to do when you do your 1st listing, is that you may be asked to register as a seller by adding your credit card to you ebay file if you havnt done that already. That is so ebay know they will be able to get thier fees.
You will have to have a paypal account, and have it upgraded to a premier or business account, but that is a simple one click process. And that is simply so that you can accept ebay payments, you cant accept ebay payments with a regular paypal account.
The only time you need an ebay business account is if you are registered as a business in the real world and have to pay gst. For every day sellers, a regular ebay account is sufficient.
