I just bought an item and clicked through the process as usual and an old address from years ago was displayed, too late for me to cancel the process. All my previous orders, include some placed only a few days ago were processed using the correct address. One item was delivered only yesterday. The old address does not appear on either my eBay or PayPal accounts. As a precaution I have now "updated" my eBay delivery address, although in fact I changed nothing on the screen. I received an email from ebay@barristress.codingeco.com offering $100 gift voucher for use on ebay. I want to know if it is genuine as i believe it to be a scam. I recently have a second phone and wanted to use it for ebay. I tried changing my mobile number under Personal Information and under Addresses. Correct format, correct country site. But the confirmation page never came up. I did manage to change it to my home phone just to test it since my mobile wasn't working, but still I received no confirmation call. Worst still I couldn't change it back! Not at the moment at least, I don't know what I've done. This mobile number is an old Virgin Australia number which is a company that has shut down, but I transferred it to another phone company. Would this create a problem for ebay? All my other services that require mobile number is working fine though. Besides trying my landline, I also tested it using my daughter's mobile and she received the confirmation code. I'm sick to death of geeks mucking about with stuff that works without 1st checking to see if their "improvements" actually work! The website asks for my password before allowing me to enter the Change Password area. I had to have a code texted to me to get past that.
