I ordered a rare wargaming rulebook for a now no longer supported GW game from a seller in the UK. I had pressed the buy item, filled in my PO Box address and the error message popped up saying the buyer had set it to street addresses only. After contacting the seller, who agreed to put my Postal box address on the parcel (3 or 4 messages were sent between us via eBay), which I messaged to him. I had to add in my street address to complete the sale and tried to change the address for the order via my account order history. That was unsuccessful. I had hoped the seller would do as he promised and address the parcel to my PO Box as I have been living in an apartment block for the last 8 years or so (which we have a mortgage on), and have had a neighbour from hell who has done every5thing in his power to make my life hell including vandalising my letterbox 3 time (I fixed it twice). Thus the reason I demand my parcels get sent to my PO Box, and why I have all my mail redirected. This does not help if the seller uses USPS from the UK. and it subsequently is delivered by a lazy courier service who leave the parcel which eBay - Pitney Bowes have re-directed and placed a HUGE sticker to cover the sellers notes about sending it to my PO Box. What made things worse was that they put in the comments box "IF PREMISES UNATTENDED, LEAVE IN A SECURE LOCATION OUT OF WEATHER". Well the lazy courier did not leave it in a secure location, or out of the weather as the letterbox has no cover on it. I am not happy the seller used USPS and a courier service. It would have been easier for myself if he used the standard Royal mail international postal service. My parcel, which obviously not all that big as it fitted into my letterbox, would have been redirected to my PO Box, or eBay - Piutney Bowes may not have tampered with the parcel and re-directed it to my hom address. I am not happy with eBay and Pitney Bowes for this. I gave the seller strict instructions which he DID carried out as per my request and provide my PO Box as the delivery address. If I did not a a couple day where things were quiet at work, I might have been far from home, and not have been home until 5pm of even the next day. Most likely the parcel would have been stolen, as the apartment block is directly across from a high school. Luckily i was home, and the went out just before lunch to do some shopping. The courier did not even bother to ring the bell for my apartment to see if I was home. Hence why I distrust couriers. eBay and Pitney Bowes, please keep your noses out of my purchases (do not change the delivery address that the seller and I had obviously sent 4 messages to and from to ensure he added the correct address to the parcel). Do not change the delivery address. If you think you are doing the right thing and want to re-direct my parcel to another address, then at least send me an email specifically bringing to my attention the statement that "WE WISH TO RE-ADDRESSED YOUR PARCEL TO THE FOLLOWING ADDRESS AS THE SELLER HAD ADDRESSED IT TO YOUR PO BOX" . I could have atleast replied to you and gotten you make sure the PO Box was where I wanted it to be sent, and to make sure it was sent via Royal mail international pastage service. Regards Has anyone else had problems like this?
