I recently ordered a camcorder from the US and about a week later, the tracking status changed to 'delivered', yet I still haven't received the package. Among the several hundred items I've ordered from eBay over the past few years, only around five have ever been misplaced and even then, their tracking had frozen or been delivered to a different address so this is the first time I've had a 'delivered' status for an undelivered item. I've contacted the seller and they said that they used the Global Shipping Program that eBay provided. It also appears that they addressed it to the airport exchange. I'm not sure if that's how the GSP works, but I'm a little concerned if my address isn't actually on the item, although the tracking does show my suburb. The item couldn't have been delivered on the day shown on the tracking because I was home alone the whole day so there's no way that I could have been missed or a family member could have received my package. I'm worried about opening a case in the resolution centre because I feel that maybe it's too early (item may still be in transit) and because this is not the seller's fault at all since I see that they've already shipped the item, so I don't want them to be at any loss. I also feel like I'll lose if I open a case since the tracking shows a 'delivered' status which pits against me. Any ideas on what I should do? I'm not sure if the product is insured... it cost around US$200 and AU$280 so if the coverage minimum falls on that, then I might be safe. I'm 100% sure that if a signature is provided, it won't be mine so if that's the case, then eBay or the carrier will be held liable for delivering to the wrong address.
