I have cancelled a purchase which was via Paypal link and using the credit card option. The seller has advised they have refunded the payment via Paypal, but I have not received any notification. How long does it take Paypal to process the refund and to give notification. I assume that notification will come through to my Paypal account.    As the credit card used (debit card) was not linked to the Paypal account is this a problem re Paylpal processing the transaction (refund)? ... After delivery of a new item for over $700, the item did not work and classified as "dead on arrival" the seller picked up unit, now has sending the same unit back with a part to be fitted to get the unit working. I have been severely ripped off by paypal in the past 12 months and are not prepared to give those theiving pricks access to my new bank accounts as they cannot be trusted. Do they have a human being in their organisation or are they purely a computer program. Does anyone out there have a phone number that will get through to a person, preferably someone with a brain and someone who gives a rats. I sold an item on ebay and the buyer immediately paid to paypal without contacting me, I cannot recover the money from paypal, reasons unknown, it has appeared in neither of the two paypal accounts that still exist in my name. The buyer now states that hes been told by paypal that the transaction is finalised and he cannot get a refund. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to resolve this. I purchased item # 161183731330, owl suncatcher with free "creepy" owl. It was quite late arriving, I put a note on purchase page with the date & a note that I hadn't received it. When I got it it I left a 2nd note stating that item had arrived. For some reason ebay changed comment to "item not as described" and ask the seller to refund my money. I have purchased something on e bay and went to pay pal to  pay. Pay Pal says I can't pay for it because postage is not calculated for it. I then went back into the add and tried the calculate the postage and that does work. that asks me to contact the seller at an email address. I send the enquiry to the email address and get a replay that says the seller is in Perth (the car is in Victoria) . the message is shown below:   Hello, The Mitsubishi Outlander is still for sale in excellent condition, with no damages or any faults. All necessary papers available with a Clear Title. I am currently in Perth due to my work commitments. If this is going to be a quick sale, I will let it go for $8,500 delivered at my costs. The deal will go strictly according to eBay rules and policy.  Thank you   I reply to the message saying i want to fly down to Melbourne and drive it back to Sydney and i get the following reply:   Due to my location and since view or pick up is not an option I agree for a 5-7 days of full inspection period ( after the date you receive the car ). This means that you have 7 days to inspect the car for any damages and decide if you want to keep it or not! Because I will sign eBay's return policy, your money will be insured by them and you will have the option to reject the deal, only if we go through PayPal as well.
