Re: 100 free listing

I have asked customer service the same question. According to them it is a random selection process ( bit like a lottery ) but I,m not convinced. I suspect they are trying to encourage sellers who may not always list regularly to get more involved, hence I have had two offers in a row on buying account which does not sell and no 100 free auction offers for awhile on selling account. ( after I used links on the boards to list 3 x 100 freebie auctions in previous fortnights. ) I did get the 100 buy it now freebies two weeks ago and found they worked out well. It is nothing to do with top rated seller tag as my selling accounts are all top rated.

Re: 100 free listing

I got the notice at the bottom of my page, but when I click it I get told I'm not eligible.

Given it has taken me half an hour to sign in, I suspect it might have something to do with maintenance. I will try again later.

Re: 100 free listing

yeah, i've been having trouble signing in over the past hour.

Are they doing maintenance or something?

I click a link and the sign in page loads even though i am already signed in.

It doesnt sign me in though.

The log in page keeps reloading but never signing me in.

After 30 mins or so i logged in fine.

Strange.

Wish i got offered 100 free listings occasionally.

I never seem to get these offers.

Re: 100 free listing

I've had many more attempts than that. I am in on this ID, but can't actually do anything as far as selling (like loading my freebies) goes. Keep getting errors. I searched for my store and was told it doesn't exist.

I am signed in on my primary ID, but can't access my My eBay or sign into the boards. Same with my other ID.

Different accounts, tried on different browsers. I've never had this much hassles on a Friday. They are probably implementing the TRS+ BS.

It's those darn blue doors*- seems eBay site design team has a Dr Who fan on board, now everything is stuck in a time-warp.

I haven't been able to sign into my selling account for a couple of hours - I can access SMP selling page via a direct URL, which intermittently shows all my listings or 0, and I know have 2 messages from buyers (which luckily do not require answers), but it says I don't have any, and if I try to access anything from that page I'm asked to sign in and always get an error (incorrect ID or password).

No such trouble on my buying account, where nothing needs to be done.  >_>

Re: 100 free listing

I was invited to list free for 100 items this weekend, accept the offer and on my ebay  got 100 free listing active so try to list, but  fees shown up , so contact live chat and was told  the offer was not for me as only for top rate seller. And will refund the listing fees and told me to stop listing otherwise fees will apply.

Anyone has same problem?

Re: 100 free listing

Try again. It will show you any listing fees before you commit.

I'm not TRS and I got the offer, accepted it, and managed to list a few.

Re: 100 free listing

I had the exact same experience. I emailed customer support and was told it was because I hadn't allowed for actual eBay time which is different to AEST here in Australia. What nonsense! The offer said it started at 00:00 AEST and I listed at 12:54 AEST. I was then told that I didn't qualify this time because my standards had dropped to low because of my postage costs. I only charge what I have to pay Australia Post plus the cost of packaging materials. My costs aren't excessive. Why should buyers who have little or no experience in posting parcels, and no idea how much it cost to post these days, be able to rate a seller on costs. I've never ever had any complaints about postage costs in feedback. My costs are the same now as they were 12 months ago and my rating was always above standard. Customer Support suggested I should offer free postage which I suspect means more final value fees for eBay! If someone out there can tell me how to post for less than Australia Post charges I'd really like to know how.

Re: 100 free listing

Meant to thank you kizbear when you put the link up (it worked). Thanks to other posters in the past too who also put links up for free listings coz I never get a direct invite from eBay themselves.
