Before you get all warm & fuzzy thinking how nice eBay is for giving you "3" free relists when items don't sell just remember how the relists push your items visibilty further & further down the greasy pole of "best match"....
The "3" free relists if an item doesn't sell is a ploy to keep interest bouyed due to the fact that unless your selling phone covers or farting nun toys stuff rarely sells anymore......even with free this that & the other! & they know it!
eBay is now akin to Quicksales, albeit on life support!

what I read in a recent thread was CS todl a seller to be aware the 3 Free Auto Re-Lists only works until you have made your 100th sale ! - anyone else know about that.... and how do you see this on your selling screen?

I heard that too, but it certainly hasn't been the case for me. I have made way more than 100 sales and I'm still getting the free relists.
I also heard that you don't get them if you have a shop, but I opened a shop in March and I am still getting them.
Or that you don't get them it you have multiple IDs, but I opened a new ID in Matrch also, and both my IDs are getting them.
Or that you don't get them if your ID is registered as a business.....maybe that's the one that's right? I couldn't say.

I have sold way more than 100 items and still get them. I think it's 100 sales AND $XXX (can't remember what the $$ amount is). Sales are also good. I sell via auction though and I think a lot of auction buyers use the ending soonest option as opposed to best match.

If the relists have less visability then how come I had quite a high number of items that sold on the second or third time round?

There is a $ turnover limit to receiving the three free relists. I,m not sure what the figure is but its not ridiculously high.

Yes, if you have a business: you don't get them 🙂
I did post on another thread today that I was told by CS on Friday, that I could open a second ID (to enable me to get the 3 auto free re-lists) but that I should be aware it cuts out at the 100th transaction. So it would seem the system has another glitch . . . . sshh !
Can only suggest everyone keeps an eye out in case it is suddenly fixed.
My current ID is a Registered Business & I was not told that by using a second ID, it would NOT qualify for the auto re-lists, however, that does seem to be the case - the second ID will not qualify. Have been having big probs with my laptop today so haven't actually tried to do any listings yet as I keep all photos, records on it & not the main computer which I'm using now, but I'll certainly post if I find I can get the auto re-lists. I find it really annoying that I told the CS rep what my intentions were and at no time was I informed the re-lists still wouldn't work on a second ID - suppose I should have known, even though my hubby's ID gets them !
Edit : At one point the CS rep did mention a $ limit but then said, oh no that wouldn't apply ? Perhaps because I sell low value items and he figured I would hit the 100 transactions before the $ limit ??

Last I heard the cutoff was 1000 and $12k per annum.
I've sold over 200 items YTD and I'm still getting them.
