I had started an auction for a watch when approached from overseas about a sale to Nigeria. The buyer has a good reputation, eveything seems in order as far as my payment, but I have not ever used this service or shipped overseas so I have to ask for safety due to ebay listing no pending transaction.

The OP has not been back since they posted their message, so I suspect you are right. They've lost their money and the watch.

For bad grammar I apologize traveling. My question was if this post from Australia was a real method of payment.

I would worry for all thatexcept all I didwscotcr ebay who in turn contacted the aussie post payment service and/or paypal who then sent another email showing my concern and letting me know ebay had conacted them, and do to my email it was a little comfort that business may in fact be done this way.I still feel when released to paypal.from this ap post business, paypal should have obligation to make sure the buyer has what they were.paying for before funds realeased,Which may take awhile from middle of america to a boarding school in nigeria from pament of man in England with same proper name as boy at school.I am praying, and if not.i will survive.

if, by any chance, payment is made you may find that it has been funded by a fraudulent method i.e. stolen credit card.  In which case you may find that a credit card chargeback will happen in a month or two.

I am still a little confused about what you have said.  Can you answer these questions please:

- how was the payment made? (PayPal, credit card, bank transfer, western union etc)

- did you sell to an eBay member?

- did you sell from an eBay listing or privately?

There is so much about what you have posted that is screaming SCAM.

Buyer in England, payment through Australia Post, shipped from America to Nigeria . . . . . . . . still thinking scam.

Please do come back and keep us updated, we are curious about how this will turn out!

Looks like it was sold OFF ebay.

This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available.

Bye bye watch and money.

then the Opening Poster canโ€™t expect eBay and/or PayPal to get involved.

The OP did say in their recent post that eBay contacted Aust Post payment service.  I am wondering how Aust Post can be involved in a payment from England for an item in USA being sent to Nigeria.
