Adding postage after bid??

Hi,

I am selling an item and initially listed it as pick-up only.

I then was asked whether I could post it. I said yes but it would be an extra charge.

The person has now put a bid in and I can't add the charge they agreed to.

What can I do/

thanks

Re: Adding postage after bid??

You could forward them an invoice via Paypal. I think it is called, "Request funds/money" And of course don't send till that one is paid as well.

You wont be able to edit the listing, but if it's finished and they have won and you're sending an invoice, just bring up the invoice, add postage, preview and send. Dont click recalculate or it will revert to the original total.

You should be able to add the extra postage on the eBay invoice after the auction's end.

Just change the 'pick up' section to 'post' and add the cost.

I probably wouldn't do it via Paypal unless I had to.  Always best to have it on the eBay invoice (and they'd also have a record of your messages too) in case something goes awry. 😉

Re: Adding postage after bid??

if you wish to communicate with your buyer, you will need to send them an eBay message

Posting an off topic comment on a thread from over 11 years ago won't be seen by who you want it to be seen

And you will also need to upload your tracking to eBay itself , not just 'give it to the buyer'
