Allowing Delivery only to ONE City

Hi, I have some tyres I've listed to sell, which I can deliver personally within my local city area, or they can pick it up from me. I have the pickup options set fine, but I don't know how to set my postage preferences to only be available to my city. I don't want to do freight as its a pain, but would like local buyers to see that I can deliver without having to reach out and then I tell them.

Thanks!

Reach out. If you're willing to deliver that's the same as local pickup.

Re: Allowing Delivery only to ONE City

If you are thinking of charging for delivery when the option is for you to drop off the item to your buyer, thatโ€™s a bad idea. You wonโ€™t have tracking information to show delivery status (as you would have if you used a courier or AP); that leaves you without seller protection or defence in the event of an NRI claim by a buyer.

If a buyer canโ€™t pick up, then I strongly suggest you have a delivery option through AP or a reliable courier.

lf you offer local pickup, then youโ€™ll get a QR code to scan from the buyer (if they pre-pay by any of the payment methods that are covered under the MBG), which is proof of collection. If the buyer prefers to pay cash on pickup, the buyer canโ€™t claim under the MBG. Either way, as long as you follow proper procedure, this should be safe in terms of false claims.

The main caution Iโ€™d advise is to stipulate a place of collection that is safe - e.g., next to a police station.

I was more thinking of doing free delivery around my area, because these are bulky items, but maybe I'll stick with @davewil1964  suggestion of just reaching out. Then it would be more protected. Alrighty, thanks guys ๐Ÿ™‚
