An increase in unresponsive buyers / non paying bidders , Time for change

Hi Since eBay removed negative feedback for buyers years ago, there has been an increase in non paying bidders I have had 1 item I've had to relist 3 times because the buyers have been unresponsive.I think it would be a great idea if buyer's dont complete the transaction it shows up next to their profile how many unpaid strikes they have had.eBay is also losing out here not just the sellers..You could of sold your item to the lower bidder and they might of paid for it.instead you get these bidders that over bid others and never reply to your emails or pay for the item(s) they won.

Come on ebay add this feaure we understand you give bidders that don't pay unpaid strikes, but let it show in their public profile the same way we get public feedback from the buyers. What are we sellers to ebay silver ?? and buyers are gold..

Fair is fair.

Regards
Johnny

The "no negative feedback" system against non-paying buyers MUST be reviewed by eBay if the site is to retain credibility. Blocks are not all that effective.Non payers are rife these days as many sellers would know. Another thing that needs looking at is the Paypal "chargeback" system. Had a situation recently where Paypal accepted a reverse charge after SIXTY FIVE DAYS. I provided proof that the item was delivered the day after payment..the delivery was signed for by the so-called complainant and I was given POSITIVE feedback by the person concerned on the SAME day as delivery. The original invoice I sent was for NORMAL postage but I decided to send the item REGISTERED mail which the "buyer" overlooked when he decided to lodge his chargeback. Even then,Paypal hedged.Commonsense prevailed once I mentioned AFP but this type of circumstance should NOT be allowed to happen.

NON PAYERS SHOULD BE IDENTIFIED TO SELLERS.

I have 2 strikes in last 12 months. Scary what the stats would be like without them ...

If you got to account, site preferences then click on the Buyer Requirements Activity Log

You can check how many ids have been blocked and why and then compare them to total sales as an

indication of how well the blocks work.

absolutely agree with buyers should have negatives.

, where do ebay come from?

Dont seem to have any reality with common sense.

WE ALL KNOW THAT MOST BUYERS WHO GIVE STUPID NEGATIVES FOR SILLY REASONS (USUALLY THE POST OFFICE DIDNT DELIVER ON THE EBAY STATED TIME) HAVE PERSONAL FEEDBACK OF LESS THAN A COUPLE OF HUNDRED.

The On or Before text on listings needs to be worded beater, it should have two dates Estimated Delivery, Estimated Post date. It also does not account for the extra handling on letters, christmas and payments clearing.

Ebay do you hear us ???..We sellers should have the option to leave a neg to bad buyers.,From all the reading i have been doing,it seems 100% of sellers want this option back. All buyers aint angels as you see them.

ebay won't hear you, they don't read the boards.

And I guarantee not all sellers want to be able to leave negs for buyers, especially if it replaces the strike system. Even of the anecdotal 3% who read the boards.

With a thread about this every couple of days, we just tend to let you play with among yourselves.

I am appalled by this number of non paying bidders / buyers.

I thought I was having a problem with a handfull of cases but at this level do the sellers need to get together and start legal action ?

It is not just the odd problem , this is systematic fraud.

If a person bids or buys they are offering to buy, not just maybe buying something. We can not afford the time to waste on these people and Ebay must do something to restore credibility

Unfortunately,eBay aren't listening..that's why sites such as Quicksales now have over two million items for sale. Don't have similar problems over there apparently. No listing fees either. QS does not have comparable buyer exposure though.

Quicksales is now getting one more buyer exposure thanks to your listing.

I hope it works well there
