I had not had a sale all week so I started to search for some of my listings. I searched about five and none of them appeared. So I contacted Ebay who also couldn't find them in search results. They emailed this response:
"Thanks for your report about the members items not showing up in search results. I’ve gone ahead and re-processed the items to re-index into search however this may not work due to the age of the items. With the number of changes made to the site between when the items were originally listed and now, it is possible that the item information has become corrupted on our database. Unfortunately in these cases there’s not a lot that can be done except to ask the member to end and relist the item."
I have about 77 items in my store and only about 10 of these are showing up - so they want me to end and relist them all?! I did as a matter of interest end and relist one item (got charged $0.50 for the priveledge) and yes it now shows in search results.
I don't know how much money I have lost as a result of all this and I don't know how long it is going to be before Ebay fix this problem.
I urge you all to check your listings and I would love to hear if anyone else is experiencing the same problem.
