I guess it's 'thrown' me because they haven't used the word 'satchel'
on โ11-03-2013 05:32 PM
The satchels have been rebranded and renamed small, medium and large which what they are 'launching' I think. I think they also had 2+ days printed on them. I hope buyers don't all expect 2 day delivery!

Hopefully the C&S prices don't change. Who knows? AP site is not known for ease or logic of navigation.

I would think that the express 3kg & 5kg Large satchels that are being fazed out are the extra large
ones that were only available to business account holders.

So how long can we use pre-paid registered labels on parcels I wonder ??
Can we get a refund on return ??
Or will they just float around in the system, in the pool of now defunct Australia Post products that have no expiry date ??

Don't you all just love the way that everything has to be "spin" these days?
Somehow you get the feeling that Australia Post expects us to be grateful that they are increasing prices.

my guess it they will float around with the other defunct products such as pre stamped 20c envelopes, aerogrammes, prepaid International Postcards, lettercards and the rest!

If everything is trackable, does that mean everything gets PayPal Seller Protection? If so, that sounds worth the price hike to me. At the end of the day, all Aussie sellers are in the same boat re: price rise, so it will even out eventually.
Just reading some of the pdf files on the AusPost website and the new 500g parcels (lodged at AP) are $6.95 including tracking, which seems like a good price. I'd probably be tempted to add the Signature on Delivery though for the more pricey things.

Depends on the tracking, soul. The current satchels are trackable, but only to the delivery centre, so ineligible (without a lot of paperwork) for Paypal protection. They are going up, which makes C&S (tracking of which is allegedly to the door and thus protected) far more attractive. If the C&S prices don't go up.
