Australia Post closed till 5th of Jan!

Didn't know that the Australia Post will be closed from the 1st of Jan to the 5th of Jan. I thought at least it would be open on saturday. Guess our DSR's will take a hit..

Yes. I hope most folk realise the post will be delayed. I have contacted my buyers of the delay, due to the break. Easy for the Small scale sellers but time consuming for the larger ones.

My AP shop has normal hours this week (7am - 5.55pm), including Saturday morning (7am - 11.55am). Closed tomorrow (and of course Sunday). I checked the operating hours on the door when I was down there about an hour ago.

They had normal hours last week, except for Christmas Day and Boxing day. My husband posted a few things for me last Saturday morning as I was working until 1.30.

Is it just the city ones that are closed?

Do you know if street boxes will be cleared on Thu evening 1st Jan?

Also Fri Evening 2nd Jan as normal?

Mine must be a select PO as it's open on Fri. I didn't check the main PO in the main street. I hate going there so avoid it like the plague. I think the one I go to might be 'privately' owned. It's just a small one in a back street.

Looks like from that there will be no clearance of the red street boxes until Sunday evening 4th Jan.

So for us no point packing Friday now. Don't want things just sitting baking in the red box for 2-days and exposed to any vandal who takes pleasure in pouring something disgusting into the slot.

Mines open on Friday, but it's a franchise, privately owned.
