For the life of me, I will never understand why Australia Post do this - there is no way they can not know that many of the changes they introduce, particularly to pricing, affect their core consumers in significant ways, and that advanced notice is required to accomodate them appropriately. It comes across to me like a playground taunt, i.e.
Australia Post: We know something you don't know!
Customers: What?
Australia Post: Guess!
Customers: Bugger off, I'm not playing that stupid game, just tell me.
Australia Post: No, you have to guess, it's more fun that way.
Customers: **bleep**, fine..... You're going to increase prices by a disgusting amount?
Australia Post: Close, we are making changes to services and prices, but you have to guess what they are.
Customers: What are the new prices?
Australia Post: You're not playing right! But we'll answer your question, we're bringing in new services and stuff, and it's going to be awesome, and all the prices are changing.
Customers: That doesn't answer my question - and by changing, you mean "increasing", right?
Australia Post: Not exactly, some of the prices are going down, while other prices are going up. The average increase overall is about 2%
Customers: So.... what are the new prices?
Australia Post: Guess!
Customers: ............
