I am having so much trouble with Australia Post delivery lately, and just wondered if anyone else is having similar problems.
I use eParcel for all our deliveries, and have had quite a few items in the past few weeks that have taken over 2 weeks to be delivered. When tracking these items, they haven't even been updated in the AP system since the lodgement! I have tried contacting AP but all they do is just open another case *sigh*. Sometimes the item turns up, but quite often the item is never seen again... well at least is never returned to us!
I have also considered using the insurance option for my parcels, but that is only going to increase the cost. Is there a way that this insurance can be an option that the buyer can choose as an extra charge if they wish to??? I have looked into the postage options, but can't find anything for insurance.
Any feedback, help or suggestions?

you mean the answeres from a particular group not fron the genaral public, oh well we will have to agree to disagree, as one of your members said, an id could be anyone male or female 18 years old or 80 years old ,unless you guys know a website that tells you everything , i know off the one that tells your buying habits i know of a website that can match ids when you have more than 1 id, but a site that tells you if the id is male or female, havent heard of that one , must be new. have a nice day padi ,
remember there is not only 1 answere to questions , read a few threads .
anyway good day and lets hope aus post staff and managedment are on the ball today.

Don't think because it's marked as "signature" that you actually get it.
I've had two deliveries to me requiring my signature dumped in the last few months.
One thrown up to my first floor balcony containing serious security identification.

I doubt that such a site exists. The only way it could work would be if it could match private data held by eBay i.e. name, address etc. and that is not going to happen. A member started a thread a few days ago asking if there was some way of matching member IDs and nobody came up with any website that would do it. Posting that such a site exists is false information unless you can back it up.
please i thought you knew everything
now you are just being silly. I have never posted that I know everything, and if you can find a post where I said that I know everything then post show me where it is. I have often posted that I am learning every day.
you know by now i dont use these type of sites
yes, we all know you don't use these sites, but a site that would enable sellers to match eBay IDs would let sellers block all IDs of buyers they have trouble with. I am sure ALL sellers would love to know this site address, even if they have to send you a Private Message to ask for it. You do want to help sellers, don't you joe? You will be kept busy doing this if such a site exists.
but as your members say
what is all this about my 'group' or 'your members'? Where do you get such stuff from? If you are referring to a group of regular posters then I'm afraid that you fall into that category too joe. If you are referring to regular posters who post solutions to member problems, post helpful information with relevant links or screengrabs to backup the information, and post to correct false or misleading information posted by others then I would be proud to count myself among their number.

i have no problems with sir , i just could not understand how he or she would not know of a website, thats at least a years old.
for instance i am going to asume you are a female with the word cathy in it , but i realy dont know , just like i could be male or female with joe in my user id. at the end of the day it does not matter.
just look at the post the other day about the gold thing. what did the op state ,words like how can you guys know about the item when i thought it was private.mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

i will tell you once only ,i was telling a poster is there a website that can tell the sex of a person as there is websites out there. sorrt i asumed you would know about the id website its pretty old , and when i see the chap i will ask him for the name.
but i will explain what it does , i was over his place maybe a year ago. and i tryed it. not like your website that i dont mention and now there is another popinh up now. you dont put in an id and search, you put in 2 or more ids and it will say match or dont match in certain words. my friend typed in 2 ids both his and a match came up , then i tryed my id and with some oneelses and it said no match. now if this program matches the person or there ip address i dont know, so maybe i will try and put my id and my sons id and see what happens, but this was maybe 1 or 2 years ago. i asumed most people would of known .
by the way can i join your group as its private to enter you know i think its called the round or something like that.

@trrautoparts wrote:I couldn't agree more! And again, I'm glad to know that I am not the only one. Everything that we list and sell is in stock and if purchased by 1pm we send the same day.
And to add insult to injury...
I had one buyer who eventually received his item after nearly 2 weeks (Qld to Nth NSW!) and was very happy with the way I followed it all up for him. He gave me positive feedback that he was happy with the service, but then marked me down with only 1 star for the item not being delivered when eBay said is would. I can totally understand his reasoning, but why should the sellers be punished for AP stuff ups??? I upload the tracking every day, so eBay could easily check that I followed all the guidelines, and mailed the item the saame day!
There has to be something to stop sellers being penalised when it is clearly a problem with AP.
This is my beef, we the sellers get a strike so to speak because of something we have no control over.

@joethenuts wrote:if its a aus post fault how can anybody blame ebay ,you are not held to ransom by using aus post, maybe for envelopes , plenty of other choices , that send parcels satchels and so. sometimes you have to use more than 1 carrier , or try new carriers. some are cheaper some are dearer , you and only you has to work out which is better in the long run.
I agree 100% with you Joe, but what i found was that i was getting to many complaints from customers because they had to chase the courier company for redelivery if there not there to receive it.
We / I just can't win, i'm at the stage now that if the sales are within a 20 k radis from me i hand deliver, but again that still has a new set of problems if the customer is not home, do you leave the item or not, i can take pic's to prove that i was there but that doesen't prove that i left the item. lol There's no win.
