Hello,
I recently sold an authentic designer bag on eBay for the first time.
I am confused, received an Authenticity Guarantee email, saying that I need to send the item for authentication before it’s sent to the buyer. What does this mean?
I also received a policy violation notification. I don't believe I've violated any policy. The bag is authentic and was advertised as such. I have original proof of purchase, etc. What does this mean?
I am unsure if I am posting the bag to eBay or the buyer?
Any help would be most appreciated, thank you.

Seems the OP has form.
I wonder how many other policy violations they've racked up.

Health and hygiene is also one of our top priorities, so our policy outlines why certain items can't be sold on the site.
What is the policy?
- Used underwear and socks are not allowed, even if they are clean. Examples include boxer shorts, panties, briefs, nappies and athletic supporters.
Used panties aren't that uncommon on ebay. Yes, they do eventually get shut down, but people are making a fortune from them because less than savoury people want to buy them. Some have multi variation listings whereby depending on the amount of days the panties are worn, depends on the price. I won't go into other variations!
What these less than savoury people don't realise is, it's not the hot buxom blonde in the picture that's been wearing the panties. It's some overweight, bald headed, 70yo unemployed male taxi driver that hasn't showered for a week. Often the panties haven't even been worn, but the buyer can't exactly put in an INAD! They've paid a few hundred bucks for a pair of clean panties straight off the shelf from K-Mart.

Maybe Ebay should add them to the authenticity guarantee program.

Well, I guess the irony is they could probably put in a claim for INAD, claiming the item was not new and had been worn!
I never knew this sort of thing was even available on ebay. Who'd think of dirty laundry as a collectable. There's nowt so queer as folks, I guess. 😂
