Have just had a conversation with a gorgeous customer, ever so patient - she just wants to pay for her order !!
No longer a simple task !!
I will just state here, this has been going on since Saturday and is for 3 bracelets I made changes to suit her special requirements (at no extra charge) as they are very special breast cancer bracelets (I won't go into all the details, suffice to say, this lady of all people does not need these hassles)
After two attempts, my lovely lady received her second Combined invoice - noticed it in her emails, and decides to attempt payment from the email this time, so tries to log into eBay - wrong Password ! Next attempt - you need to reset your Password (now, she's already getting annoyed because she did this a few months ago). That now done, she proceeds to pay and realises, the invoice is not for enough - it has now uncombined itself and she is only paying for 2 same size bracelets and postage. So in desperation she pays and hopes to receive another invoice with adjusted postage. Fortunately (?) while all this is happening I notice she has paid for 2 instead of 3, so I ring her, to apologize profusely and try and explain, I am not incompetent, it is the system at fault - unfortunately I'm not sure she is convinced
She is not a regular eBay Buyer, so totally unaware of all the issues - her main point, (as we all know) was - most buyers would just give up and go elsewhere because it's just too hard here now !
And we wonder why sales are down !
When are eBay going to fix there stuffed up system so that we can go about running our businesses professionally and efficiently ?

Never mind .... I actually beat you today with my whinge .... I started hours ago 🙂
My day started with almost an hour of complete and utter frustration about a simple problem (you can read 'buyer not able to pay') ... after spending almost an hour on the phone to eBay with no resolution, I turned to the discussion page .... another seller solved it for me in minutes !!
So .... I think we better just stick together ... I've completely given up hope for any help from eBay.
I rang recently and asked why the non-store sellers weren't getting any free insertion promotions. They assure me they are !! .. NOT 😞 There is no support base at all there .... I have turned to the Discussion Page, and quite honestly I get much more satisfaction from you guys

Haha, I did read it and glad you got it all sorted. My problem was that I had been sending invoices through the bleeped up system and she wasn't getting them - then when she did eBay had conveniently Un-Combined them and it seems she still hasn't received the last one I sent for the remaining bracelet - grrrrrrrrrr
Well, it'll be tough luck soon, I'll just send my Bank account details and she can direct deposit and I'll Mark it as Paid so I can post this arvo - then I'll deal with the same issue I'm having with yet another patient Buyer who collected and Paid Cash - I marked as Paid in my records (has been showing as Paid since last Friday) and eBay still sending her reminders and it's not showing as paid in her Purchase History !!
I couldn't agree more with you about the wonderful help received on the Boards - there are so many Sellers willing to share their time and expertise, I am always sooo grateful to the members here They have saved my sanity on more than one ocassion

Sounds like your buyer is using a mobile device to try and make payment - it is well known that there are big problems with combined invoices if buyers are using the ebay app.
As far as emails not going through - my guess would be that it is an issue at her end and nothing to do with ebay.

The truth is eBay should be apologising to this poor buyer.
No only is she 'new' but is a buyer - the very person eBay are trying to attract.
How on earth do they intend to do this with the way things are going.
Another truth is the Chinese rubbish & all those biggys (DS & TGGs etc) are doing their bit to ruin the whole site also.
Talk about NEGS & NEUTRALS.
THEY ARE GIVING US A BAD NAME.

When I am selling multiple items, I send an invoice when we hit just over 3 weeks (minus postage), then keep adding the items to the pile.
Reason? eBay start 'dropping items off' when they reach 30 days, and you can't combine the invoice anymore .... I had a great one last month, when a buyer went on holidays and forgot (legitimately .. she's a very honest buyer). We ended adding items to the postage, etc ... sorted it in the end though.:)
That's it !! We can sort it out between us, but eBay can't help EVER !!
I have also found buyers are unable to pay on a mobile devise (as another suggested) if they try to pay for more than one item.
AND YES .... I've learned my lesson .... after being on the phone to them for nearly an hour this morning ... I resolved nothing,.. then went to the Discussion Page and solved it in a couple of minutes ....
