Buyer Threatnening Paypal Claim (Item not recieved) 2 days after sale

Hi Guys

I've just encountered a difficult buyer.

On Monday I sold the following item

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=171021972166&ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:AU:1123

This item included FREE standard postage ( i usually send using a large letter size padded mailer for $1.20)

The buyer claims that they should have received there item in a day because they live in the same state. And is now threatening to do a paypal claim against me.

Any one got any advice?

YIKES!

and with no tracking, you won't even be able to prove that you did send it, even if it does turn up!

Maybe they were just in a bad mood, and a nice placating PM explaining that you use Aus Post, not Superman as your postal service and can't possibly control their delivery speed could go some way towards making them see how unreasonable they are being?

Best of luck with it all - but sheesh - it's certainly one for the BBL, eh?

I think even PayPal will see how unreasonable the buyer is being, so I'd maybe hold off a bit before sending another one.

My only concern for you now though is that if it does show up, the buyer may never admit to it to save face.

I don't know about that, but hold fire, no doubt someone with more experience than I will come along...

However, I'm thinking even if you do get a neg, if you contact eBay and let them know what's going on etc, they might either have some advice to reassure you re the neg - or maybe even have it removed.

Yes, she can still leave negative feedback even if you refund her, so my advice is DON'T as she's being totally unreasonable, and if she does leave anything less than positive, phone ebay and ask them to look at the messages exchanged between the two of you:-)  She may be someone just looking for a freebie and trying to intimidate you:|

I would definitely not refund or send another one or anything else.   Your delivery times are quoted - Please allow 3 - 14 days for delivery  - so how does she expect it in 2 days?

I note that the option for FAST AND FREE is in your listing - Items showing "eBay FAST 'N FREE" have an estimated delivery time of 4 business days or less  which I would not choose because mail to some states like WA take forever - seems like asking for trouble there.

OT, you could correct the spelling mistake in your relisted item  :-):-   Contact us immediatly
