Yes, I know that I am supposed to post to the one that I get from Paypal but the buyer is still registered with their address in NSW and the address from Paypal has changed to a business type address in Victoria.
It's only a Target skirt so nothing to worry about. Annoyed though that I already addressed the tough envelope to the NSW address that was showing in my ebay before they paid.
Little bit concerned...

I was going to suggest that because I have done just that thing. To save time, I would pack and address prior to the buyer paying....then got stung a few times with NPB. To save wasting the padded bag, I crossed out the name and address with black Artline, then stuck paper over the top with the address of the next person who had paid. I now get items out and in the bags, but I don't address until they've paid.

I had one buyer do that. Her eBay address was home and her PayPal address was obviously work, so I sent her a message and she said she would prefer it sent to work, as she spends more time there than at home.

i reuse a lot of my boxes cos I don't charge packaging and handling etc - so i do that a fair bit

Send it to the Paypal address. That is obviously what the buyer wants, as they would have specifically had to change it from their eBay default in checkout.
That is how the system works, as you well know.

Yes, but why Davewil? If I wanted that i would have let the seller know. If not only by a message but also with a 'note to seller' when they did the paypal payment.

I never do, and have a couple of different addresses I get items sent to.
When I buy, I realise the seller may get a "Your item sold!" email with my eBay registered address, but all that is is the billing address (for all intents and purposes). Going through checkout is what gives the seller the shipping address. and some people send gifts to people all over the world.

Don't you let the seller know? When I looked at view order details it was a totally different address.
If you don't bother to let the seller know I would be very surprised.

you send to the address registered in PayPal
THAT's where your seller protection is, it is seriously, that straight forward
Yes, its nice to confirm, but if the buyer doesn't contact you, what more can you do?
If the buyer has selected an alternaTE ADDRESS IN pAYpAL, THEN oops soory, they probably don't even feel the need to explain.

I don't need to let the seller know the shipping address separately from telling them the shipping address when I pay, though, for the simple reason that I haven't provided a shipping address until I pay.
The eBay registered address is often the same as the shipping address, but the actual shipping address is not provided in the 'Your item sold' email. If I've misunderstood the situation and the buyer changed their address after they paid, then that's a different matter.
