Buyer has no registered PayPal address. Ebay address only

Something odd that I've never experienced before.

I sold an item and noticed that there is no 'ship to' address anywhere in the buyer's PayPal payment. The buyer has an address on eBay, but it's a bit odd as it seems to be a Big W CnC (click and collect?) address.

I don't want to send the item unless I have a registered PayPal address, otherwise I won't be covered under seller protection, if I understand correctly.

Any ideas?

i'm about 99% sure that if there's no paypal address they've obviously selected CnC as the delivery method (providing you offer it).

if you go to print an invoice through ebay - and they've paid with paypal - the address which comes out on the invoice should be the address they selected via paypal when checking out anyway. 

to err on the side of caution, i'd probably live chat or request a callback from someone at ebay and double-check - but if they've paid using paypal and the CnC address appears, you can pretty much guarantee that's what they want, otherwise there would be a paypal address present in the payment notification email.

Have a look at your ebay Sales Record.

In there is the address the buyer validated during checkout.

This is the address you send to.

Hmm, I don't intentionally offer CnC but it always ends up being an option in my listings. I'll try to chat with live chat and confirm. Thanks for taking the time to help.

To get to the sales record I do the following...

When the orders are displayed in your awaiting postage list.

Click the little drop-down list to the left of an order under the Actions column.

Then choose View Sales Record.

The correct mailing address is displayed in there no matter how they paid during checkout.

You don't need to check in Paypal (or elsewhere), as this mailing address will be from PayPal if they paid that way.

Or from their ebay record if they did not use PayPal (eg Bank Deposit).

You will be able to get to the same place from your Paid And Sent list.

Same drop-down same selections.

I don't get "view sales record" or any of the other things you mentioned. I'm guessing that must be a store or SMP thing.

OP, yes, view order details if where you will find the correct address to post to.
